I think you are right it was fake news. This was just another post on this website by the poster who hate Cabela's so much . I really think the poster is almost going crazy he predicted bass pro would fire every Cabela every my the first the year. He wants it to happen so bad. So he does this hoping it will help>

This is serious business and I guess the poster solution I guess is to try put as much fear in the worst possible outcome. The answer if for us as a community and employees to look at ways and steps we can do to hopefully improve the situation.
A few years ago My manager stated to me Cabela's had started a policy develop by top management to help those in need due to an emergency. This was during a company wide meeting and he stated if each employee could give up one pop a day and donate this would help the foundation out so much . I was one of those employees who listened and donated to the foundation. On the TV screen at work I listened for probably close to a year D--k Cabela stating if you treat your customer and your employees right the rest for success in business will far into place. I listened to emails from top management stating in regard to the merger we are the same and it is important we speak with one voice alone. We would advise if anyone contact for your opinion have them contact the phone number given. How about starting a movement to save as many jobs we can at bass pro. This can be done asking those who benefited the most from the sale of Cabela's they give a little something back or the state of Nebraska or other government bodies develop programs to assist bass pro retaining jobs.
A very good point lets keep this positive. It is a negative to always be implying the worst possible thing is going to happen with this merger. However it is a positive and the correct policy to ask what can we do as a community to save as many jobs as we can at bass pro.

I wonder if the state of Nebraska or the city of Sidney could step in to save some of these jobs in someway. This is serious business to every employee of Cabela's and bass pro in Sidney Nebraska. We do not like a hater of this company on this site who joy and dream is to see this company go out of business and fire every employee of bass pro now in Sidney , I welcome you discussion if you are serious poster and not the Cabela hater. However with the way insulted people somehow it looks to me like you are the Cabela's hater .

You assume they're trying to save jobs? They cut where they believe they could do without, according to whatever priorities they have. None of that info is available to the average peon employee, so making assumptions or taking guesses as to why is fruitless.
We don't know their priorities, we don't know what they know about the future(or lack of)of this company, so we have no basis with which to make statements.
