During my time at the Ft. Collins site you could tell when a massive WFR happened using that very metric. I've been told that building 5 has been empty for years.

My understanding is that he plan of record for 2018 was to double the cuts from last year. It seems that Antonio is following that path.
My guess is they are trying hard to deliver some sort "good news" at the quarterly earning report on 22 Feb. "Good news" here is euphemism for WFRs that will cut costs in upcoming quarters. That we know is music to the ears for the wall street wolves.
