If you are a poor office bloke you can kiss away receiving any EH&S cash from now on. I guess safety isn't really a priority any more. Thanks Al! Hope you enjoy your millions!

@RE00wKt-2fiq - LOL the only safety these savings are going to is Al's job safety. Aka, straight into the dividends. I'm sure $200k is going to make a huge dent in that hole.
Maybe employees should take whatever control they can of the company by ignoring messages from leadership and doing what truly needs to be done in terms of safety, and in terms of changing the tone. Leadership isn’t the only group that impacts yculture. We can do what we can to create a positive workplace despite pressure from the top to downgrade it.
Let’s all just hope the money being saved by cutting this corporate program goes directly to hiring/keeping actual safety-related jobs.
Sounds as if the lion's share will be going to IPLE
Looking forward to a juicy bonus this year. Some are more equal than others!
And Al’s the fattest pig.
Ha! So IPLE is more equal than others!
Gee, Law could make the same claim, so could Accounting, Operations, Risk, etc....
But at the Enbridge Farm, where Canadians are the Pigs, who are the most equal of all, reign surpreme!
Case in point.
Do not take it personally about the animal farm reference. In IPLE we have the specialist knowledge in terminals and flow paths, it's key to operations I don't think the ELT would risk losing us for fear of losing our expertise. It's a business decision, not personal.
Over the last three years, I have been disturbed (and amused) by the number of Orwellian concepts that have come to pass at Enbridge. From “doublespeak” to “big brother” to the “all animals being equal” observation noted below, the company is rife with examples. Definitely indicative of a company in which trust has been eroded and a dictator has taken over.
So then at Enbridge we are all equal, just some of us are more equal than others.
E=Animal Farm
We still have them in Infrastructure Planning. It probably is selective depending on what group.
Is the EH&S change across enterprise?
In the US we lost 8 SDO's. We only get 4 as opposed to the vaulted Canadians who still have 12.
Late this afternoon HR sent out a notice to people leaders about the end of EH&S awards for corperate and office employees. No trolling, just truth. Every time you turn around, Enbridge take something away.
You've been trolled.
Where did you hear about EH&S awards and SDO being taken away?
First our SDO's, now this, what's next?
