Thread regarding Kellogg layoffs

Down down...

Snacks down -6% now they are transferring SKU’s from Morning Foods into the snacks division to lessen the down turn in snacks. They don’t want to look too bad for the decision they made with DSD. At least Kellogg’s has good accountants to manipulate the numbers.

Wolfgang clean house you have no salesmangers in the field. Number one they have no relationships with the customer and tell the salespeople relationships don't matter. They make over 6 figures with no results. Look at the results on Yammer every picture was a force out nothing incremental!!!!!

Sales may be down vs year ago, but YTD numbers look good. Yes, there were item and space losses on shelf, but K is receiving higher margin on units sold. And with the loss of DSD reps, there is significantly less overhead involved to get those sales. It stinks that many people lost their jobs, but this was a clear win for the company. Let's not forget that companies only exist to make money.

Bad direction at the top! Hired outside for managers no promotion from within.

Yep. Sales are down and profits are up. The problem will be next year when they report numbers against this years numbers. Stock holders and analysts won’t like what they see. Kellogg’s is going to hit a wall next year. Trust me, the only thing I’ve studied or have a interested in is the stock market.
