Any news on bonus payout yet? Normally HR would have sent out the email by now on what the amount and percentage earned would be. Thoughts?

Got my bonus, got 16 weeks severance, got a special store closing stay to end bonus... OH, sorry, forgot to mention this was 2014... and they really had tried to fire me back then but gave up when they realized I had been documenting all their BS in all the emails I had been sending them for months. Just remember, they are not smart people in HR and they are all stillthe same ones there because no one wants them.

"I never understand why sales...." Let me stop you right there.

Yes, I have a starting salary of $63k per year, plus commission. So what.... If I work for a company that says I can make an additional $10k-20k in bonuses per year for being a kick-a-- associate by doing A, B, and C, I expect my cash when I achieve the goals that warrants a bonus.

In my case, the powers that be simply said, "nah... thanks for bringing in millions of dollars in revenue, but those bonuses we promised you... let's just forget about those." This is on top of raising my quota to a level where I may not even be able to make commissions, let alone bonuses.

If you were in sales, then you'd know the games companies, especially this one, plays so they can get more work out of you without having to pay you.

What as an outside sales person are you getting a bonus at all? you job is to sell and sell as much as you can, your commissions are your bonus because you decide on your income. others that are restricted in salary should be the only ones concerned about their bonus. I

I never understand why sales, especially those making high six figures, and there are plenty SALs and AE-Furniture making that would expect a bonus on top of commissions.

Those laid off are getting the bonus payout. It was clearly laid out in their severance packages.

Layoff right before bonus? I'd inquire about loss of bonus with a legal professional.

My bonus was cancelled, too.

I work in outside sales. Sure, I still make commissions, even though actually getting a payout is much harder now, but I'm not getting the bonus I was expecting.

They don't have a legal claim, but the company is paying them the bonus as part of the severance packages.

some people were laid off around Jan., so do they have a legal claim on their bonus?

If it was shortly before Feb 3, you could have legal claim to that bonus.

An "I know you are, but what am I" response. Can't go wrong with the classics.

People who were laid off in this last round should get the bonus according to the agreement, people who left voluntarily won't, and people who were, not really sure what to call it last fall - invited to work for a significantly lesser amount at a crappy consulting company - I'm not sure whether or not they get the bonus based on them switching to the company or not agreeing to switch.

The question for a lot of us is how much the bonus will be and how much. No one I know has heard about that yet.

the team I was previous in, everyone was either laid off or left themselves before February. So that means nobody was getting their bonus? Because I know bonus accounts for a large portion of the overall compensation in my team, even for the team lead.
