Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Staples is not about “easy”

Everywhere we turn to, anything we try to accomplish, there is always a block wall, it takes for ever to get anything through. All the latest changes from IS help to HR as well as the infamous Coupa, facilities Etc. I could go on for ever, we can’t get anything accomplished. How is Staples to survive? All I know is that we still have a lot dedicated associates that are here to work with a get it done attitude but are pushed back and not allowed to do what they need to do. Let us do what we were hired for and stop the stupid changes and programs that don’t work. Wake up Staples if you still can...

Agree a million percent. Between ridiculous decisions about how to save cost on NAD delivery expense to waste in the area of BI tools, it’s been a cluster. I was one of the lucky who was let go a few weeks ago and now have a new role in a stable company. For those that want to ride it out, more power to you. I would have too without the boot in the a--. BUT, there are so many opportunities outside of Staples. For those of you that have been there for years (like me), open up and see what’s out there. You’ll be surprised what you find.
