I’ve read stuff here for few months before act. Humorous place to be. You can take either side on this ceo selling... but one things for sure since stock grants are supposed to motivate and reward employees I don’t think it can be said that dumping all from the ceo role models that very effectively. Imagine a mgr( I quit there) saying here are your rsus they are valuable and a great way for you to incentivized

@1aeh oh yeah a realllllll catastrophe. Are we looking at the same chart or do I keep rolling my eyes?
@bin Other companies‘ stocks also offer nice dividends.
Owning your employer‘s stocks is like sitting on the same branch twice. If it breaks, you are focked. There could easily be much more serious security flaws hidden in Intel products. If something like that is revealed, the stock price will tank, dividends will be cancelled, people will get laid off, and bonuses/raises will get cut. So if you hold Intel stock, you will get kicked in the face twice if some catastrophe happens.
Stock options have an expiration date, why wouldn't he be selling either stock options or RDUs in consideration of the expiration or value opportunity. That said, he would have to follow strict rules for timing, and he likely had to consult with legal prior to selling due to his role. He is smart wnough to clearly understsnd insider trading or perception of conflict.
@pzq you care too much.
if you look at the chats and calculate the returns and add the dividends it looks juicy.
Now go look at the the other technology stocks and go back and look at your raises and you decide if your hours and expertise are well compensated for.
How many RSUs do the average joe get?
BK has to hold what is worth about $11M, sounds like he is vested. Go look at how much more he dumped, all he could about 25 Million! Clearly not a guy who thinks the stock will move even laterally and collect a juicy dividend. No as rich as he is he got out as much as he legally could all on the name of “ financial planning and planned diversification”. What CEO runs away from his company line that, he is a you. Guy and not giving it away like Buffet or Gates.
Judge for yourself his sad excuse, let’s see if he has balls to address it in the BUM. Just the perception is so un CEO like
I regret selling some of that stock. The dividends are nice and fat.
Huh? What? How do RSUs motivate people if not by being sold sooner or later? Most people sell their RSUs the moment they vest. The fact that CEOs don‘t do that is already an anomaly in itself, and it only happens, because unlike the actions of a normal employee, the actions of a CEO can have a very direct impact on the stock price.
No idea what you are trying to convey with your incoherent rambling there, but I have the feeling you don‘t quite get the whole RSU concept from an employee perspective.
