Daytona Florida just told they will close in February. How many more unannounced?

Again, this is yet another case of people on this board being increasingly hostile when they are faced with the truth. I guess it's easier to shriek "liar!" and pull the covers over your head than face reality. Sears and Kmart are done. Stores are closing, including some they are not listing. Those are the facts. You are angry at the wrong person. Stop shooting the messenger.
I read an article about the auto center closing. It's going to be a bonefish grill and one other restaurant
@uyw- the closings will start in Feb. not be finished in Feb. Also, the WARN Act applies to the total amount of people losing their jobs at one site, such as a large factory closing in a town or a wholesale shuttering of a business i.e. BK. Depending on the number or people laid off they might not meet the numbers required to trigger the WARN Act. Think about a small business going out of business and just closing the doors.
I feel Sears doesnt want to disclose everything and quietly closing some so they wont make it look as bad as it looks now.
I also saw somewhere that the Warren, MI Kmart is closing and it didn't appear on The List
Jebez Crisco.....Wake Up! I was on the conference call. They're closing! You all act like you're attorneys on this site and you all want to say how things work! Guess what mo-fo, You don't know sh--! Call Daytona Sears Auto tomorrow and ask to make an appointment for March 1st. Then, Johnny Cochran, let us know the results.
They can't possibly be closing in February if it is closed it would be a violation of the Federal WARN Act requiring a 60 day notice before a closing
Last go round of cuts there were at least three stores in our district that were not announced on the company list. Not really sure why they dont announce all the stores but SHC has less stores than they say they have because of these unannounced closings.
It's not an outlet store. Auto is done in February followed by the store
Volusia mall is a solid mall, maybe they got an offer on the lease. Doubt they closed that one for poor performance.
Interesting, is it the Sears Outlet store, maybe that's why it wasn't in the announcement.
Daytona Sears.
which store exactly?
