Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

First quarter layoffs at Enbridge

Has anybody heard anything more about first quarter layoffs?

There was some chit chat about it earlier today at the office but nothing really informative, so I was hoping that maybe somebody here will know something more about what's planned? If not exactly who, then at least when?

Dyer and Crocker - they're in the same league. They destroyed IT and then leave. They can't face the consequences of their decisions.

There has been an ongoing trickle of individuals who landed in bad spots when we merged. I don't know why that would change. I would expect that a lot of individuals would be leaving with the assets we plan to sell. Selling stuff also takes a lot of central services resources so I hope cutting of HR and IT is over for a while.

To the poster who defended the ELT and VP's. Obviously, you have been oblivious to what is happening with Enbridge either because you are one of them or you are tied at the hips with them. Get down from your perch and start talking to the "masses". This website is a great place to start.

Wish I could say things are better for me but they’re not. Of course Q1 will bring more layoffs. Al needs to meet synergy targets and axe those of us who support renewable energy projects and gas processing. So depressing.

Feeling the same way. Lifeless. Lacklustre. Uninspired.

Every day is a struggle. We force ourselves to make it through the day as we continuously look older and wearier. The mood is grey.

Agree that ENB is sadly on the decline in every way. The evidence I see every day speaks for itself.

Totally disagree. Enbridge’s ELT is disgraceful. The epitome of hubris, greed, entitlement and shortsightedness.

Puleeese. The VPs and ELT are the only reason Enbridge is still a strong player in the industry and all of us are not unemployed. Despite the struggles they have kept the ship steered straight. If it wasn't for their stellar leadership it would be a lot worse. E= BEING GRATEFUL AND NOT ENTITLED

I hope “management level personnel” includes VPs. I can think of one in particular that we would be much better off without, but feel that naming names here would be impolite.

HR is currently preparing for another round of layoffs in March; specifically focused on management level personnel.
