Thread regarding Textron Inc. layoffs

One major flaw

I’ve been with Textron for a few years and while it is mostly a good company to work for, there is a major flaw that needs fixing right now.

Main focus to try to develop leadership is placed on new candidates in the workforce. While they are the future of this company, what about us who have the experience and have been with the company for a while?

The opportunity should be given across the board because senior members have experience as well as knowledge of the company and have actually built a rapport with fellow coworkers. In the least, there should be a balanced approach in developing leadership, else the company risks losing a lot of us who are feeling passed by.

Yep. Just laid of from Jacobsen. Management recycles the same group of people who fail at one task then get moved to another. They have succeeded at making the customer the last priority while focusing on their individual compensation.

Working at Bell for 8 years as a flight mechanic. Not certain about my future, as layoffs near. One thing for certain with this company here in Amarillo....GOOD OLD BOY CLUB.....
