It's 2018 - Try not to be so down.

It's 2018 folks. Time to stop being a scared kitty. Time to stop reading all the negative, Debbie-Downer news and message board dialogue. Don't be scared. There's plenty of helpful resources all around you to get started with a new job/career. Think positive. Or, you can continue to read all the negative, Debbie-Downer news and message boards and continue to drown in your own anxiety. See you in 2019.

@R3KHWAp-vbh I agree with everything that you posted about leaving/laid off from State Street and any other organization. I am one of many displaced former employee's of State Street and I currently earn about 65% of what I was earning and work for a small company where I receive almost non-existent benefits. Many of my former peer's are also in a similar situation and feel we are just one step above being unemployed since we are.

Agree, try being over the age of 50yr and see how the job search goes. I had to take a job in retail just to try and have some income to survive on

Yes all the so called job resources and job training. For jobs which pay you 35% ++ less than you were making at State Street.

Yes working 1 full time job and a part time job just trying to make ends meet

I can tell from your positive attitude your probably a brown noser aka a bosses pet aka bootlicker
