Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Who wants to bet how many will be fired over this?

So, anybody wants to venture a guess at how many people will be fired due to the flaw? Whether they had anything to do with it or not.

Intel is already paying for the mistake and AMD is taking advantage - its stock is up by 7 percent since the news. There'll be hell to pay, that's for sure.

I'm thinking higher-ups will use this to fire a bunch of people and save on severance. Only time will tell, I guess, but this is a hell of a way to start a new year.

So BK sold 24 million in Intel stock before the serious design flaw was released! I hope they take him down for insider trading!

Once people realize that the reports about 30% performance losses are sensationalist bullcrap, Intel stock will go back up, AMD stock will go back down, and everyone will shrug this off.

Since this bug will be covered by software patches and an expensive product recall will not be required, only a single mid level manager a few flunkies will be executed as an example to the rest. They will be lost in the usual yearly layoff to trim overall payroll back to target and cost reduction in money losing LOBs.

Same as last year, no layoff for this year. Intel is stronger then before.

Let's face it. The members of the Intel Boys' Club will not be fired. They will find suitable scapegoats to fire.
