i was laid off from general dynamics after more than three decades with the company. my years with the company meant nothing.
i was not the only one. so many of my coworkers who have given their all to gd were shown the door to make room for younger and of course less paid workers.
it's unfair and it hurts, but that's the reality of today's gd. it's not the company it once was. management today believes that experience is overrated. i firmly believe that'll come back to bite them in the a--.
getting rid of us and replacing us with young workers who have no experience and are poorly trained will kill gd.
