Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

so tired of this

anybody else really tired of constantly having to worry about having a job the next day? when exactly did we reach this point? i caught myself reconsidering going to see wife's family for the holidays because if i get laid off the cost of plain tickets for the four of us plus other expenses could be better spent. if! i'm considering adjusting my plans just on an if. so freakin' tired of this...

I completely agree with you. I have been with the company a few years now and every year its more layoffs. Then guess what they announce they are hiring again? At the last company meeting the one right after the layoffs they announced plans to hire 1000 people. I was thinking wtf these people have the nerver to do that? And then more layoff rumors? 4 rounds of layoffs in 4 years etc. Does executive team think we are so stupid that we dont notice these things? I think so

It is best to hunker down and do your job if you are working at citrix . Forget about wage increases next year or any promotions . Those are reserved for a few inner circle elites that are hoarding all the treasure.

This place has become toxic. Everyone wants everyone else to quit since it increases their own job security. If everyone is around, anyone can be on the chopping block, but if there's very few around, whom are they going to chop? Vicious circle.

I've always been amazed when I find out other working stiffs don't feel this way. We're always admonished to learn the next application du jour, and it's never enough. Maybe AI will finally satisfy the almighty corporations since algorithms don't need medical benefits, PTO, insurance, bereavement leave, parental leave, etc. AI just needs maintenance provided by the same ol' order takers that used to be DBAs, data scientists, analysts, and developers.

Run away fast !!!! Don't look back !!!! Decline started long time back and now close to the end with penny management.

The management team has a penny pinching mentality. They need a revenue growth mind set. Until that change happens nothing else will change. You cannot cost cut your way to success. Cost cutting is about managing the decline.

I don’t necessarily worry about layoffs. Mostly because I’m confident I can get a job relatively quickly but I believe moral is the worst I’ve ever seen, and management needs to address that. Of course they probably won’t but they need to.

I've been watching my money for months, cause no job means no money and that could happen any day.

You're just thinking about this now?? You should be spending like you already got laid off, because it's only a matter of time.
