Well folks, that time of year has come again. We saw some layoffs in March, which targeted VP's and above and a couple of outliers here and there. The 1290 NYC office will be targeted heavily on this date to eliminate redundant positions at the AVP and VP level. If one team has two VP's; it is very likely that the VP with the more inflated salary will be terminated (and the same applies to AVP's). State Street's goal is to consolidate positions and trim all the fat in the U.S. in order to have a more robust outsourced workforce and a couple of "representatives" in the U.S.
Just be strong and start looking.
