CoreTech VP's were quietly moved out of the CT organization immediately prior to the layoff, yet they were in the group meetings where the layoffs were disclosed to the other employees.

"The exciting part of today's layoffs at GE Digital in Van Buren Township, MI is the opportunity the GE folks let go have to go out and help the local market to solve issues. GE had an excellent team of smart folks that are now going back to the Detroit job market--DETROIT STRONG!"

125 were laid off in Van Buren out of about 800 or so that work there. Most workers are Coretech in that office. Whole teams were disbanded this morning.

There are close to 155 Coretech full time employees in Michigan. Why only 125? Is this just an estimate?

In Michigan (and Fed), WARN Act states they have to notify 60 days in advance if layoff is 500 or more in a 30 day period. For 50-499 people, only if it is 1/3 of workforce. So if 125 people are notified Nov 30 that their last day is Dec 31 and It's less than 1/3 workforce, then you wouldnt expect them to file with the state. Unlike in California where state law for WARN is 50 or more people. The 148 in CA were notified Nov 7 of last day Jan 6 (60 days from notice).

People leaders have a meeting tomorrow (on Thursday) to hear what's going to happen. People impacted should be receiving an email today (Wednesday) at midnight.

Would have expected meetings or notices sent out by now if something was happening.
