Thread regarding Walgreens Boots Alliance layoffs

Mr Walgreen's Sr would be rolling in his grave to know that the family company he built is ending up like this. I understand needing to change the business for the times we live in but they went a little far with pandering to the larger share holders. To me, everything started going downhill when Mr Jordt (sp?) left. When the last Mr. Walgreen stood toe to toe with the CEO Greg Doe yelling you can't do this to the company my Grandfather built and Doe more or less said 'Watch me', That was all I needed to know. I was done after that.

This place is worse than ever! Employees are treated terrible. Get out of there as fast as you can. Best decision I ever made.

Unfortunately I wasted several years trying to make things better there. Sorry I wasn't able to. The swamp is too muddy...

On its way out..thanks to boots!. No hours, short staff on floor, shoplifting awful!! New help , not trained....

Its just a shame to see this once great company going to hell. It seems to be getting worse and worse.

I suggest you go back to school and pick up a trade and make money for yourself. You only need one year of your life. Walgreens look to be done when it comes to be on top. Kiss the retail side of the store gone. I see more stores closing.

Frontier is a friggin joke. Things are getting worse and worse. Hours are going down, insurance is garbage now, management is useless and just holds meeting after meeting where nothing gets accomplished and limited hours are eaten up. Long term employees are being forced out in favor of less experienced people they can pay less. Customer service is suffering. I'm getting too old to start somewhere else, and it's very scary.

Im a pharmacist. Pushed to make wait times. Accuracy doesnt matter. Only the numbers matter.
