What is Digital now? Is BR still bouncing around and failing at telepresence? Is Predix getting canned yet? Or is everyone still saying “this is fine, it’s great that we have a Miami hub”?

It's all the same, Marissa banned work from home and created a baby nursery next to her office so she can come to work and check on her baby. Do you get the privilege of an on-site nursery for your kids and family ?
This is the nature of corporations, it is the way it is.
HR folks in GE are all evil!
And that is why Chris Drumgoole is no different than any other sneaky snake oil salesman. They always look out for themselves and not their staff. You tell everyone else they must work from a specific location knowing they will not or can't move, while you create a location for you to work in. Must be nice..Shame on him!
His wife has a real estate biz in Miami, hence why the 'hub' is there.
While I resonate with all you guys' points about Drumgoole, he's not leaving. Many of us are not happy, but we're not leaving either. It's weird, but I'm kinda looking forward to being laid off. I won't go by myself, otherwise It's like we're falling into his evil plot of not paying us to leave. They will get the bare minimum we deliver though.
I thankfully left before GE completely falling on its face. After working for GE during the last 17 years, I can't say I am surprised. Chaos has been building over the previous 17 years within IT. Countless re-orgs, management changes, acceptable work location policies (remote or specific offices). Always with the promise that things were going to be different or better each time around. All we got was the next smooth talking executive that said they were going to fix what is broken and they were listening! Chris Drumgoole was just the latest blowhard executive that came in promising the employees a change and better times. I thought when he came in things would be different, but in the end, he was the same as everyone else. We had layoffs based on location only and nothing to do with performance or reviews. Its a slap in the face when you told how vital performance and yearly reviews are for years and then they layoff people strictly on where they worked. I could go on and on about how leadership and HR screwed people over while telling everyone everything was going to get better. Chris Drumgoole and all the leaders he put in place need to go. When you have people that move from a mid-level manager to a director to then a VP within a year, that should give you an idea how favoritism plays a role. GE will not change because the people that caused the problem are still calling the shots. Only the little people that had nothing to do with horrible decisions leadership made are the ones that are being let go.
Drumggole nnother irrelevant tweeter like comstock.
The Miami Hub is just there because that is where Chris Drumgoole wanted to live! IMHO that’s as wasteful as the CEO flying around with 2 planes. All the while telling those that were not in hubs that their careers were basically over no matter how good they were. So happy I left while the getting was good.
