Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Entire Security Business Unit to be sold?

No layoffs before February '18, However... the entire Security Business Unit will be sold and some will asked to hit the road anyway.

Finally the SRX won't be a Juniper product, and someone else's problem.

Been going through the posts and found this. Anybody knows where the information came from?

wow!!! somebody is living in denial mode. Juniper security is long dead. It is taking whole juniper down. I will be surprised if it lasts for another year.

Juniper survival depends on security growth , other market segments are flat and juniper is not into any new area like . So security is not going anywhere as long as current structure is intact.

Was it Nokia that was trying to buy the security BU? :)

So the SRX rumors made no sense, but the Nokia rumors got the stock hopping. Hilarious!

Cisco is in talks with Juniper to buy the SRX product line. Sometimes enemies work together especially if it benefits both. Cisco, it is believed, will then kill the SRX and push existing customers to migrate to Cisco's existing security products (ASA, Firepower, etc).

Who buys SRX, if anyone at all, is irrelevant. What's relevant is if it's really true that security business is going to be scrapped.

haha...This must be joke. SRX has useless team and product. Why would great company like Arista would buy it and screw up its name on culture and quality of products.

Is Arista buying Juniper? Or the SRX/Security BU?

That would be a massive clean up effort.

Heard the same last Friday at London office: strong rumours that security unit will be either sold and/or scrapped swallowing the losses. Its running on colossal losses anyway. Might as well bite the bullet and cut the cancerous organ out.

Are you trying to get the JNPR stock price to jump on a slow week?

Never mind, probably should have started at the top of new posts, not from where I left off last week. This is when delete button would come in handy.
