Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

BD lost its soul over the years

anybody else remembers the time when layoffs were only done to make up for revenue shortfalls? like a last resort kind of thing?

not that layoffs are the right answer even then, but at least we had a concrete reason behind it... then suddenly they started having layoffs each september, even if projections were met by the company...

which brought its own set of problems.. rumors, stress, slowdown in operations as people anticipate the inevitable... and of course, this is time when performance reviews are done, adding an extra level of stress to an already bad situation...

it's like the company lost its soul somewhere along the way...

Layoffs are being done more frequently now so that those jobs can be outsourced and more curry-smelling staff with fake resumes can be brought in here in the US to manage the large teams at the outsourcing location.
