i really wish this company would understand that if somebody is a good technical person they will not automatically make a good manager...
people who are placed in leadership positions usually have absolutely no experience leading... so instead of bringing something new to the table, they take point from their predecessors, who were incompetent to hold that position in the first place...
it's a never ending circle... here's a thought for genentech, how about you put people in leadership positions who actually know a thing or two about leading... you might be shocked by results...
