Thread regarding CGG Veritas layoffs

Malcor

What chance is there of a change in fortune of CGG while Malcor is still at the helm....?? Surely he is the root cause of the problem?

They should just get rid of Malcor. The company has just been going down hill since he took over.

malcor is deluded. he declared during a visit to oslo immediately after major job losses were declared that norway would rise from the ashes.

I fully agree that Malcor is remote. He does not have the same engaging qualities that his predecessor Robert Brunck had. Although Robert made mistakes, I believe he cared about the employees and that I haven't seen at any time in Jean-Georges reign.

wish after the financial re-structure , the new stakeholders will take him out of the show . He has dramatically pushed the company to a nightmare edge .

It is difficult as an employee to answer such a question as Malcor is an individual you know exists and yet you never meet. Corporate CGG is so detatched (and out of touch) from the day to day operations they appear to be only figure heads, absorbing large incomes for poor value acquisitions and leading by mismanagement at the highest level.

The lack of corporate contact is why the quality of critism targetted at this level is generally of poor quality. Whereas in the processing centres (such as Crawley) the poorly performing management and HR is very well understood and there are some respectively critical contributions.
