OP’s, TY for the info. Used to work much with R&D printhead engineers late 90’s Corvallis. Did they ever get the “ SMIF” pods/system to work? Had 300mm si wafers then. I worked in IC test which used HP9000 testers. Before then, Teradyn. I miss it. Gas from the past. My best to all.
The pagewide web press printers are not for consumers but are made for commercial printing. They cost about $8 million each. HP is selling a lot of these and more designs are in the works.

Thank you for the info. When I let HP Corvallis, ICBD was occupieng Bldg 2 (seen by the amber lithography lights via Hwy 20). Fastfab div., IJBU was in full force. Do you know if IJBU took over All the clean rooms including ICBD? I hear that HP Inc has a print head/carteridge that prints a whole page at a time? Fascinating if true. Dose Corvallis also fabricate the 3D technology/process? I truly miss Corvallis HP. I was part of the Agilent split, then WFR out in early 2002. I was in my thirties, went back to school, and carried on but in a different direction.
I don't know if the Fabs (cleanrooms) are running at the Corvallis site. I do know they are making other products not in the cleanrooms, Non-experienced production workers are being paid $12 an hour. Techs, QA and other staff brought in by staffing companies are paid at double that amount. Job duration is from a few months to 2 years depending on the contract the staffing agency has with HP. Some have clauses that a temp can't be hired by HP and others are being screened to become HP employees. Again, this depends on the type of staffing agency that HP has hired.
What % are contract at the Corvallis site? I learned that at Keysight most of the wafer fabrication is contract -two year stents., then out! I used to perform R&D at Corvallis.
Corvallis site seems to be hiring again. Mostly through staffing agencies but they are paying a lot higher than they use to. If you worked there, you know the routine. It is an R&D site only. Once the product has been developed, tested and several prototypes built and out at customers, the manufacturing part is shipped out of the country.
Are there any current/passed employees whom work at the Corvallis site in the silicon fabs? Any employees that helped head up the "Fast-Fab"., old IJBU? When I left just before Y2K the IJBU division was $$. Much appreciate any feedback. TY and God Bless.
