These programs sounds really nice. By the way, can EOD also be availed by thosd who are already on AWA (alternate work arrangement)? Coz right now, we have some people who works only about 4 days a week because they have one SDO a month, one holidays (which we also have almost every month) plus AWA which give them the privelege to take every other friday off. Oh my absentee people leader will love this EOD, considering the fact that one is always on meetings and trainings aside from work from home due and sick days. I also heard they have another program Employee Rate Rollback Plan (ERRP). Wait, I thought thr Japanese bombed the pearl harbor but I saw in one post here that the germans did. Oh well, maybe I was absent when my history teacher discussed it.

I herd of 2 new initiatives to begin in 2018

They will be doing away with all monthly SDO and replacing it with 2 new and better programs

In Canada there will be an EOD - every other day-off. This will better align with accepted Canadian norms, and allow familys more time to watch hockey together.

In the States the EOS - every other Sunday. This initiative will give our valuable US grunts 26 days a year to surf p--n and watch football - subject to your People leaders approval

Mothera is a go!

This initiative, part of ERP (Employee Reduction Plan) will lay waste to Houston, Chicago, and Duluth. Much like when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, there will be nothing left.

An equally important initiative is our Adopt a Canadian Focus. The ELT believe s having a Canadian focus in each business unit is essential.

More news to come in 2018. The big rumor i hear is that we are considering buying TransCanada.

C’mon it doesn’t matter what you call it, they are still doing the layoffs if they have to. RDO gets a lot criticism for layoffs and we seemed to forget that the same people had brought in at least 2,000 people during the highs of oil price and many were promoted in such a short time even if some of them doesn’t really deserve it. Imagine the level of management we previously had: incompetent team lead, incompetent supervisor then manager then sr manager and director and sr director. My goodness we still have some of those incompetent people who enjoys nice pay and good benefits. Problem with blaming others for whatever state the company is in now and pointing fingers is every time you point your finger to someone else, four other fingers are pointing back at you. It is stressful to wonder if you still have a job tomorrow but realistically you can’t do anything about it especially for a lot of us who won’t walk out with millions. But I just hope that when they do layoffs they will actually weed out those who are incompetent and doing non essential work.

Monarch is not new and has nothing to do with layoffs. It was the HR project to bring in Workday. Monarch II is the project to bring legacy Spectra staff into Workday.

Yeah it is so random that I can still see some people who doesn’t have much meaningful work but still employed and some performers were let go. Sad part is the ones left that are “non performing” are the ones who are mostly feel entitled. Well, who said you need to perform well if you can sell yourself and impress people with your talking skills even if you don’t have the real skills.

The layoffs will ensure that the directors and VPs meet their budgetary targets with military precision, and that they therefore get awarded their bonuses. Our CEO has given them big incentives to get the job done and some of them will no doubt make off very well financially.

Not sure how ENB’s corporate culture will fare, but the RDO has probably calculated how much of a hit the culture can take at this point and still remain functional. What fun the RDO must be having! I wonder what those employees can look forward to once they have completed their job. Maybe a taste of their own medicine?

This completely unnecessary state of affairs sickens me. Where was the voice of reason when the good ole boys decided to buy Spectra? Asleep at the switch, I guess.

Wow, for someone who knows really well the schedules of layoffs hasn’t heard of Monarch? You don’t have to check with BD because it was an HR project related to layoffs. I hope you are not writing these gossips at the company’s facilities, using company’s computer during office hours.

Check your meeting rooms at your locales.

You will see “Monarch” taking up all or most of the day. Usually showing as this and next Thursday, next Monday, and the whole last week of November.

Checked with BD, no one has heard of this “project.” Heads up folks, take home what you need from your cubes until this blows over.
