Also experiencing bosses being really nasty and short tempered lately?
Maybe it’s me but you can’t even ask a simple question with your head not getting chewed off what’s going on is it just me going through this?
Is it his way of prepping me that I’m getting canned?

Think sometimes managers get small bits of information and know to an extent what is coming without knowing the full details that the senior managers have which puts them on edge in fear of what is coming

I agree with all of you and it isn't just State Street. I have been in the workforce for a while and experienced some stressful, awful situations throughout my entire career. Just to let you know that working for a larger corporation like State Street is a much better working experience than working for a small organization. When I first started my career before working for State Street I worked for several smaller organizations. For the most part, I never felt that they cared about their employees and you were judged by many who worked for the company not only your manager. You also don't typically get good benefits when working for a small company. I currently have some peers who work for small companies and many of them don't even get sick time. Isn't that against the law? Just my take on it.

Oh I’m not disillusioned I know this is everywhere and it’s been going on non stop since the Great Recession and really since the 198’s. That’s why I’m so worried no place to go and no place is safe.
Doesn’t look good at all anywhere that’s why I try to do an impeccable job and it appears it makes no difference
Spend some time reading "Latest Posts" where you will discover this is going on everywhere as of 2017.
I mostly had great bosses all my career I’m in a new dept just got it too and I’ve never had bosses snapping at ppl Guess I took the wrong job for my transfer thought I was bettering myself instead I shot my self in the foot or however that saying goes.

When the start to prepare the layoffs the higher levels bosses already have a list of who is going to be thrown out of the door. Usually 99% of the time the high ups do not tell the bosses below them until the last minute.
So some bosses are stressed not knowing if they are going to be laid off and what people in their depts.
Yes some bosses can be rude and nasty but some are actually nice people who have been going through this layoff stuff since 2002
He snaps easily at everyone so is my whole team gone too you think? Or is he feeling his job is threatened? I am just very upset now I have real financial obligations and he knew this and he couldn’t be a human and say something or try to help it fix it?
