General Dynamics is no stranger to layoffs. Small batches of people are being shown the door pretty much all the time.
The thing is, the company has figured out that's a much better way to get rid of employees then having major layoffs they'd have to report. This ensures GD has no bad press and it doesn't attract negative attention.
People who work here are used to this by now. We know it can happen at any time to any of us. That's why employee morale is getting lower and lower continuously. Who'd have thought that having no job security would affect people negatively?
So in addition to layoffs, we are losing people left and right because they are leaving on their own. Not sure how many people there'll be left to lay off if this continues...
