OP is the loser troll. His constant denial and lack of knowledge of what's really going on inside Intel gives him away as a laid off reject trying to curry favor with HR in order to try to get back in.
Layoffs are happening... just quietly. Some really, really good people have been cut.
Happened in SMG already. Op ed seems to be an outsider. DCG also got hit as well as Geos.
HR, SMG, Finance have been notified. Rollout to business groups (DCG, CCG, etc) underway. PEG and TMG will be next (maybe just in time for the holidays!)
They are also happening in DCG. They seem to be "targeted" to projects rather than division wide. I hear by the time its all said and done DCG will have ~20% reduction.

I hear they care coming still, but the powers in charge decided instead of rolling thunder of layoffs they would delay them until July 2018 and have the big bang layoff then. Just a rumor with confirmation pending.
