I'm not sure what Guitar Center is thinking, I don't think we can handle any more staff cuts. We're already severely understaffed.
People who are left get burned out and leave, and the new ones are chronically under-trained. No wonder our turnover is huge.
We were doing great before the company decided to switch from organic growth to corporate planning. Considering the state we are in right now, we all know how well that worked out.
Not to mention, the new system makes it nearly impossible for somebody who started at the entry level to make it to management position, and a possibility of doing that was always one of the biggest draws of this place.
It's really sad what this once great company has come to.
