@4hwi - MJ is clueless. Her success was driven by other people who tirelessly worked to get Surface going with IA. She did nothing other than show up female. Don't take that wrong, because there are some terrific females within Intel that also work tirelessly and DO NOT get their due (note: I am a male). MJ did not earn her position thru sales acumen or hard work.
GPTW was an Intel Value that was lost long ago. The 'forced fun' aspect was increasingly ill-funded, and for some groups, was just surreptitiously expensed by the managers just to keep up morale. The finance wing of any group would only give so much money per quarter, and then would not allow the Admins to combine a few quarters to make for a better group outing (like a summer or XMAS party). After awhile, it became just too much of a hassle.
Given the current internal climate where long-term strategy is run by the CFO, there is no GPTW. If you are buying the Circuit feed, you should re-evaluate your belief system.

great company since you get to work on all your side projects while getting paid. Like someone mentioned, just delegate, talk a lot during meetings and fancy your boss and you'll make it. Been here 4 years and it's cool while I work on my other personal projects! Go SMG!!!! Hurray Michelle!!!

C'mon, which other company pays relatively well, lots of nice dinners and boozing sessions, fly international on biz class several times a year, stay in 5 star hotels, huge daily allowance to spend while away. Lots of fancy dinner, lots of drinking and partying sessions, tcomp not too bad. Work, just delegate, talk a lot in meetings to show you're doing a lot of work. It can't get better than this.
