Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

Helping all people live healthy lives

Helping people live healthy lives !!! Hahahaha helping line the directors pockets more like. In the UK BD’s main customer is the NHS a publicly funded entity paid for by tax payers . It spends millions with BD as a supplier and BD say they are giving back value added service ! Bull . Only if they are the right type of customer and spending the right amount of money with them . Who are they to say a nurse in one hospital deserves better service and training than nurse in a hospital spending less. Are the patients they treat worth less ???? Who made them God? A mockery of their vision helping all people live healthy lives . Helping all people live healthy lives provided you spend so much with us

The long term corporate strategy for BDX will yield an increase in already burgeoning profits that will result from a significant reduction in the corporate tax rate, anticipated to soon to be forthcoming. The reduction in the corporate tax rate will be coupled with deep across the board reductions of our labor force. By simultaneously reducing our corporate tax rate and targeted areas of our labor force, the company has already posited increased profit projections. These projections of increased profits will fuel the long term plan of increasing the bottom line, fueling expansion of cash reserves that will fuel further mergers and acquisitions, yielded enhanced dividends to shareholders, corporate leadership bonuses, and overall domestic and global positioning. The most significant reductions will be in facilities management that will push the bottom line forward by outsourcing initiatives. Age, years of service, education, "special ties" are irrelevant. Additionally, while yet further reductions in IT will be forthcoming, even deeper cuts will happen in Supply Chain staff, at every level. Increasingly, it has become realized that evolving novel approaches and technologies in the Pacific Rim are very rapidly forthcoming, with no transitional support from current supply chain staff. the strategy is hubbed around the nexus that Supply Chain Management reductions are necessary to maintain quality as a function of every level and yet reduce costs. Automative technologies are forthcoming but a temporary reduction response will be realized by outsourcing and consolidation of our global supply chain human resources. This is seen as necessary because it has been concluded that Supply Chain operations can and must be fulfilled more effectively and efficiently for enhancing the bottom line. Hardest hit will be Maryland, and very soon. It has been concluded that costs in Facilities Management Operations coupled with Supply Chain, and yes, the already depleted IT force, are "fat catted" by salaries that are too high, particularly for salaried personnel. Those who think they are "too valuable" will realize they were merely too costly for the bottom line. I am disappointed that while I voted for Trump, the significant piece that will, for sure, be realized, is the potential to yield dramatic enhancements to profits through simultaneous reduction in domestic corporate taxes AND slashing Facilities Management, Supply Chain operations, and IT. Someone else or something else will do what these current operations do, for far less AND without the threshold of the old platinum standard of fringes many of us were accustomed to. While MD Facilities Management, Supply Chain, and IT are in the certain and rapidly coming splash zone, other splash zones in the south and west may be forthcoming by 2024. MD operations is the epicenter of the soon to be realized reductions in Facilities Management, Supply Chain Operations and IT. Further, the deregulation that has happened is and is continuing to happen as the result of all industries lobbying efforts, especially ours, energy, and chemical, these efforts, will actually make it much easier for BDX to bring reductions and rather than a little bone with meat on it on your way out, it is now easier to just give a bone. If things seem normal, they are not, if some people are edgy, they only know part of the coming reality. Some who have went to other places within the organization at the throes of cutting labor forces elsewhere from MD are in the epicenter of of an upcoming earthquake. Our work ethic, loyalty and pride are only equaled by the fact that no one is exempt and we are all expendable to increase the bottom line. Despite my support by Trump, I didn't expect to see that there is rhetoric that appeals to most of us but that the real agenda has everything opposite of what we thought. BDX has benefited greatly from the ACA. As much as I supported Trump, I cannot believe the coming reality where many of us, I now see will come to realize what people, I thought were crazy, like Bernie Sanders, have been talking about. Salaried or not, the execs believe we think we feel entitled to share in their prosperity, which we created for them. Those in Maryland, ready to turn your BDX cellphone and ID in and get your bone with no meat on it as you walk out the door, when you least expect it.
