There were layoffs at Domtar Espanola Paper Mill Layoffs - there are multiple mills in Canada and the US - not sure who is all affected. I do not work there but a close relative does - just wanted to share this as media is paying no attention to these layoffs (they are trying to show that everything is perfect in the economy).

"they are trying to show that everything is perfect in the economy"
Exactly OP!! I live in Canada too and know what you mean. They lie, lie, and lie more about how great things are, even saying the economy is "Booming!"
What a laugh, in my town, like every town I've been to, stores closing, jobs disappearing, people being foreclosed on, etc, etc. And the cities, all it is there is one huge property bubble where everyone is desperately trying to hang on by making money in real estate.
Real estate industry is the biggest industry by far in Canada now, above resources, banking, insurance, everything. A housing bubble is NOT an economy.
Something Canadians will learn very painfully.
This is a list with all locations
NOTE - THEY DO NOT HAVE LAYOFFS, I AM JUST LISTING THEM SO PEOPLE CAN PROVIDE UPDATES
