Capgemini has been in cost-cutting mode for years now. Meeting financial targets for the quarter has become the only thing the company is focused on. No vision, no long-term plans... Just more cost-cutting.
This is affecting morale more and more. People are continually stressed out because we know more layoffs are probably right around the corner. This constant state of anxiety and uncertainty is no way to live.
In addition, it's really hard to advance here. Most of the openings are filled from the outside. The ones that are not come with really low raises, so even if you get that promotion, chances are it will not impact your wallet significantly.
The company needs to finally figure out what it wants in the long run and work towards it. I'm not sure how many more layoffs we can take.
