Everyone is talking politics or poor me or the poor employees (which I do empathize with) because I was one of those “poor me” when ZEG let me go over a year ago.......but has anyone thought about the students at all? They came to Everest College to better their lives not knowing that their diploma or degree would be worthless after taking on so much debt. Yes, we are guilty. Therefore, stop making negative comments, I get it you have to vent out because when ZEG let me go I was definitely crushed and took me sometime to recover. However, just imagine how the teach-out students are feeling right now. Everyone needs college education to better their lives but when everything becomes surreal for the students, no one wants to take the responsibility but start pointing fingers at each other and at the end of the day the students are still responsible for the debt that they have taken on.

very few students took this college seriously, they just wanted the money or a quick degree they didn't have to work hard for. They got what they deserved.
The only students left at this joke are either low IQ bottom feeders or VA refuse looking for rent money. I can't tell you how often I hear 'Ah em hee ta betta mah life'. I once spent an entire class going over the "Everest is a scam" Youtube videos and then asking 'how does this make you feel about your decision to come here' and got shoulder shrugging as a response. Students either don't care or are too dumb to care. So why should I?
It hurts the current students and past graduates but at least no more will be snared. As far as the current students, they should have done their homework. It would have been easy as MUCH is posted about Everest College and its tactics.
I don't feel sorry for the students, as they knew up front that they were going to a school that would be on a teach out, that should tell you something right there, as well as they also had options to restart their education at a reputable university, but most students were there for the money and didn't use common sense. I too got laid off from Everest last year and have no ill will toward the company, due to their actions provided me with an opportunity to work for a university that I can be proud of.
No one really cared about the students, it was all about the paycheck. Time to be honest here.
They are teaching out the schools before closing them.
Agreed.. I posted on earlier posts to former employees but feel real bad for the students. Hopefully they are given options.
