Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Turning the Screws a little tighter each day

Mgmt has started nitpicking everywhere at everything. Looks like we're going to do a last minute layoff just before year end. Everyone is being dinged for the tiniest infraction. Employees are told they need to have a zero percent error rate, an impossibility to reach. Maybe its to make sure no one gets bonuses or raises next year after all if you cant achieve a zero percent error rate then you only partially achieved therefore "Sorry, you'll just have to do better this year" and if you can achieive a zero percent error rate "would you mind teaching your counter part in India, after all we want you to be challenged at work so you can grow" then after teaching your counter part, "we're sorry we dont need your position anymore" Buh-Bye!

OP, please find some time to read "Latest Posts" where you will see this is going on all over the place as of 2017. Not just Thomson Reuters, not by far.

Something changed in 2017 and it changed everywhere. Workplaces turned toxic, management turned evil, and layoffs, so many layoffs, all covered up by corporations and media.

We are in a stealth recession which corporations, govt, and media re desperate, and I mean DESPERATE to hide. They want everyone believing the economy is doing great, jobs everywhere, etc, etc.

Not true, not at all.
