Picked up my mail this morning and found a box in it. The return address was someplace in Utah. Turned it to the side and saw a small sticker on it saying Kellogg Company. WTF? What are these idiots sending me now? I figured the only other thing I'd be getting from them would be my final W-2, since I was laid off in August.
I opened it to find a slim box inside about an inch by four inches by six. Opened it up to find a Kellogg's Retiree Award. My name printed across the bottom. AND a note from John Bryant congratulating me on my retirement and thanking me for my years of service. What the actual f---? I didn't retire; I was thrown out to (supposedly) make the company more profitable.
I thought the idiocy would end when I got my final severance check, but I guess I underestimated the stupidity there in Battle Creek.
