They laid off 500+ employees as they are outsourcing all technology jobs to TCS. Also they are hiring H1B employees at less pay.

I was one laid off at Travelport in Centennial, Colorado. I was forced to train my two replacements, yes, two for one of me. Both were here from India on H1B Visas working for TATA. One had zero knowledge in the travel industry, and only 2 years in IT. The other one had 1 year travel knowledge working in the IT department for American Airlines and only 4 years total in the IT area. The CIO, Matt Mintola closed the Kansas City Missouri office, outsourced about 80 percent of QA and laid off many more which was announced on November 30th, 2016. We all were laid off during the course of 2017. Then last November 29th, 2017, Matt likes to let people go the Wednesday after Thanksgiving, more was let go, only to be followed by another round on Dec 6th, 2017 and then once again in February 2018. He also proceeded to hire Charles Fleet as Vice President of transformation while letting all of us go. This gentleman, while very nice, had no clue to what he was doing, he hosted beer keg parties in the employee lounge and said things if I did would have been fired. Told Human Resources about it, but they turned away from what he said as he was a friend of Matts. Nice, right? What can be done, NOTHING. To make matters worse, Charles is still at Travelport as a Senior Director. Friends still working there, said the man is clueless. His job, as well as Matts could easily be outsourced to TATA. Gordon, the CEO, needs to get a clue and fire Matt, Charles and bring back senior knowledgeable employees that really cared who were working 10-12 hour days, because of all the outsourcing in India, who were not compensated for all their extra hard work and time.
Trump needs to cancel the H1B program. It's causing a lot of USA citizens to loss their jobs to those with H1B visas. And there are cases where the H1B visa person lies about their experience and education. This program is not helping anyone in USA, only the big corps and it's executives.
