Was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to what McD's current travel policy is for long haul flights? CB&I currently allows business travel on flights longer than 6 hours.

Just an FYI, the majors require Business Class for flights over 4 hours for HSE reasons. Long-haul flights create the danger of deep vein thrombosis.
CB&I has all sorts of VPs, SVPs of all disciplines: VP of entertainment, VP of hunting, VP of fishing and of course VP of international travel. We travel heavy. Everyone goes. CMS demands it.
There are not very many VP's maybe 10 in the entire organization
Good to hear everyone sits in economy. Will make the VP’s & the board consider the need for travel.
McDermott's travel policy is EVERYONE flies coach regardless of length of trip. you can upgrade to coach plus with management approval
And this is why your stock ticker will be mdr soon. At that point we can get rid of you.
You can always choose to fly coach. Don't act like your hands are tied.
Make all cbi travel coach and you'll see a huge drop in wasted travel and how useless people travel all over
It's not about being privileged it's a company policy, it's not my choice and even if I wanted to sit in economy I wouldn't be allowed. So...again just looking to see if someone can share what the McD policy is.
I figure that this must be posted by someone from CBI. Are you telling me that you can’t sit in economy if the flight is longer than 6 hours. How privileged are you?
