This is something that's been a real concern of mine. Behind closed doors (in either small meetings or even one on one) I was told flat out that CHK had and continues to benefit from the loophole rules while knowing full well its the wrong thing to do.

The Core Values hanging on the wall specifically even speak to how we are going to responsibly act and be transparent and I think that goes beyond inside the Peake but also with the owners who put their faith in Chesapeake years ago.

If a lease ever expired in any one of these counties there is no doubt in my mind that they would never lease with CHK again.

I know CHK can take the deductions and probably win whatever case....but they know the common land owner can't afford legal assistance or pay for court cost and I don't think that makes it really ok.

If this was a small town Hallmark movie no doubt CHK would be the bad guy who the townspeople hope will redeem themselves in the last 6 minutes and also help judge the gingerbread house competition.....sorry....watched way too many of those movies this past month.....
