Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

Good luck all

We all know major cuts are coming to Zenith in January, so I just wanted to wish everybody good luck in the coming weeks.

I think not knowing if I'm on the chopping block is the biggest issue for me right now, so whichever way it goes for me, at least I'll be happy that the wait is over.

I truly hope it'snot as bad as we all are fearing. Good luck all.

Well, they had a good run, they skimmed a lot of federal money from the system and gave a lot of useless degrees in return. Now its up to the other for profit schools, that pretend to not be the same, yet are exactly the same and should end their skimming too! All these degrees are useless, except when you already have a job. My boss had a undergraduate degree and a graduate degree framed in his office from one of these schools. He really thought they were real degrees. everyone else thought the same thing when they saw them " what bozo college is this?"

January 8th will be D-Day for many employees. January 8th was set for the beginning of the mass layoffs because it is 60 days from the announcement of the layoffs abiding by the Warn Act. Campuses will lose at least half of their staff with the remaining doing double and triple work. Have fun sheeple.

From I've heard the WyoTechs are going to be hit the hardest with around a 50% reduction in staff next week.

By announcing major reductions on November 8, 2017 it was a cost savings for the company. That gave them till early January to make the actual lay-offs and comply with the Warn Act unlike 2015 when they had to continue to pay people for 60 days to stay home. Good luck to everyone and hope you have been looking and applying for jobs since the announcement. It's easier to get hired while you are still working than once you go on unemployment. Once on unemployment you've lost all bargaining power.

I hope you have been looking for another job. If not, why? All employees there should be. This travesty will end soon. It was known a few years ago. Smart ones are gone already. I wish the best for you, but you have to wake up to the coffee and get out now.
