Promotions just went out. Mostly to kiss asses and brown nosers. People getting passed over by newer incompetent colleagues. Guess we now know what the job status and values are.
Where have you been for the past several years for this to surprise you? It's been blatantly clear that nothing at DeVry happens based on meritocracy. Not raises, not layoff selections, and certainly not promotions. Those wh--e just starting to notice this really haven't been paying attention.
The word is out there...people who got promoted will be laid off by the new management!

This has always been the case. Is it just more apparent because there aren't that many people left after all the layoffs? I wouldn't get your hopes set improvements. The sooner you update the resumes and start the process of finding a decent place to work for the better off you will be. You would be a fool to stay without at least looking elsewhere after recent events.
