Thread regarding Syntel Inc. layoffs

HR policies need to change!!

Syntel’s HR policies are some of the worst for any company I’ve been with and know of. It’s not employee friendly at all, and considering all the sacrifices we make i.e. no work/life balance, relocations etc., you would think it would provide A LITTLE incentive to want to remain!

Their internal employee websites are a joke. Anything important to the company was expedited quickly through HR, yet anything employee based such as benefits and such had to be resolved through their damn internal systems which makes it difficult for employees to take advantage of benefits “provided” by the company.

Don’t even get me started on harassment issues brought to them. Talk about coverups to save the company from any embarrassment… And they’re supposed to be for the employees. What a joke.

OK. Dead wood or whatever, but what's the role of DM and DD in Agile environment in SYNTEL nowdays.

They are doing invoicing, resourcing, email approvals if h1.spouse visa travels, leave approvals, admin related stuff only.

Do we need to pay these heavyweights so much salary for doing nothing.

Their role is redundant now. Better to kick their A$$ out of here.

what sick company? share value has risen 40% n last six months from 18-25 dollars. revenue is growing no falling, only clean up is happening and it is good, lot of dead wood DDs DMs doing side business have started running to client locations to retain jobs

Policies are made at top level (DD,VP and above) HR can only implement.

There is an internal revenue leakage that's happening, the reason why Syntelx not able to reach any goals or vision.

It's on the verge of disaster or shutdown

HR is there to protect interest of company from employee demands and welfare is mask we use to impose exploitative practices on employee.

GRC is big corrupt group that sells jobs, referrals , rewards are a cover we use to unearth who knows who in which company and use employee coneections to make money.

Syntel is moving towards being declared a sick company. No hikes, no promotions, corrupt leadership and higher ups, it's a depressing state to be here.

HR is only meant to make the life of billable staff more pathetic by putting stressful processes on top of clients delivearabes. HR is becoming redundant as their role is getting obsolete.

There is No vision in place, as Oldies are unable to think of any achievable goals in future, No transparency exists about wins deals.. It's in a sorry State of affairs due to idiots higher ups...
