I get that this is a big company and we can get lost in the shuffle. I also get that there is an old school way of thinking. What I don’t get is why we lost so many promising and talented individuals due to the fact that some people in management have felt threatened by them.
As leaders you should be trying to retain the top talent we have, but instead I’ve witness coworkers who have been belittled and provided with absolutely no words of encouragement or guidance.
Really, is your ego more important than the company? More important than the talent of any individuals who could be a great asset to United? Get your act together. You shouldn’t feel threatened by another person’s skillset. Instead take advantage of it to help the company progress forward.
