Back out of this deal, if you don’t you’ll end up like CB&I after they bought Shaw.

The person that said CB&I hides their in-laws is VERY true. they try to hire relatives under the rug and pay them TOP DOLLAR even if the person is not qualified for the job what so ever!!!

Cbi has some really technical people that are very smart in the Houston offices. I welcome them. The woodlands folks I would hope we weed them out with a quickness.

CB&I is an unethical company. Hope McDermott does not operate the same way. If they do, they will be short lived.

CB&I did it to avoid bankruptcy, it’s called cashing out and passing the buck. Disgusting. That’s why there are already class action lawyers at the get go.

You've hit the nail on the head. They do instruct employees to charge their time to another project when the project they are actually working on is over cost. They also have them report time worked before it is actually worked and get it approved. This is usually around holidays. They are getting rid of their best employees right now. You all should be worried.

There is so much nepotism in CB&I it is not funny!!! They move their family around as the different facilities close. Does Mcdermott have any policies against nepotism? I hope so, if not, they will still have the same problems. Relatives over experience!!!

McDermott better get involved quick. CB&I better known as “Cousins, Brothers,& In-Laws” is moving around a bunch of these worthless f___ks trying to hide them in different facilities. This is a toxic company if I ever saw one. Laying off good solid mangers to bring in trash from other failing operations.

It'll be hard to integrate.

Culturewise, you have two different beasts here...

Well said, heard they have 100s of useless VPs earning millions. VP of this and VP of that. Our top bosses will need real guts to chop off as many as possible. As far as litigations are concerned most of those are in their favour so should be fine. Their EandC is close to our piping so that will consolidate. Technology and Plate fab biz are actual bonus.

could be a nightmare too. pending litigation against CBI for corruption at Reficar project; pending litigation at Cameron project; massive cost overruns being hidden under other projects; incompetent leadership across many levels of company including safety (6 fatalities in 2016) construction, sales, marketing, hr and others. rumors that books have been cooked for a long time., not to mention sky high debt. only way mcdermott makes this work is through a mass purge of all CBI leadership.
