Thread regarding Chicago Bridge & Iron layoffs

That's some high level mathematics

Despite my UH degree and my years of exeperience as a CBI PM. I'm failing to see how we can combine 2 market caps at ~2 Bn a piece and come up with 6 bn? Can someone help me with the math?

Total transactions taking place are worth 6 billion. Banks playing a big role. New merged company will be 10 billion.

Market cap is not value of real estate. Patents. Property. You people. Hopefully we’re laid off.

You are looking only at share value of 2B each, not the assets and backlogs.

The numbers in this merger still do not show the over $2 billion valuation CB&I placed on the Tech segment. If so then they would have offered more. So is MDR going to pay off BoA, because that was what we said we would do and what the bankers want. The only this they accomplished is avoiding Chapter 7.

market cap for combined co = 4B
