Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Petty management

I work at Teradata full-time. It’s a great job if you enjoy traveling or want to get your feet wet. That aside, Management leaves a lot to be desired. There is an undeniable shortage of training in their position, coupled with their lack of people skills that is needed to create a team environment.

Managers are petty and lack ethics by gossiping about other employees and each other. There are a multitude of employees with various backgrounds and managers have no experience working with a diversified group of people let alone bringing them together to work cohesively.

This can make for a very unpleasant work environment, something I have experienced first hand.

Not good. Maybe you can find another area to apply for at the company. Good luck.

When people are "petty" and "lack ethics by gossiping" they will feel like one single and bad source of energy. That works for them but does not work for building of great teams. Need to be careful not to turn into one of them. Use that negative energy to your benefit by producing at a higher standard. If the benefits are as bad as everyone says, it is easier now to just find another company (or create you own entrepreneurial opportunity) and leave that negative energy behind.
