WV is CWA STRONG! as the clock counts down, CWA is mobilized and ready. the strike this week in WV from the PEIA teachers union really set the tone. Unions still have a voice, and all other frontier union employees should support the cause. Other contracts are gonna be based alot on what comes out of the WV negotioations, frontier touts that they have never had a work stoppage and aren't worried, lets wait and see......
stock is going up because frontier is making baby steps toward the right direction, maybe the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a train after all. as for WV, they are wanting to cut about 200 employees, which the union is resolute to fight for. looks like a strike could last some time if it happens, and who knows what shape the union or company would be in in 4-6 weeks. Frontier already has ads out online from a staffing agency for I/R techs to work a "work stoppage" starting 3/4. we'll see how that works out for them.......
The stock has been going up because the contract expires in March for WV. After that, Frontier will slash its workforce and lower operating costs. WV, get ready, layoffs are coming.
Not just OPT, all outside techs, COT, and certain assignment centers in WV got the EISP offer with 1/13 last day to decide and 1/19 to be last day.

Everybody in WV has a no layoff clause until March 1st when the contract expires. Except for legacy areas that is. We'll see how it all pans out.

It wasn't state wide in wv. Only 787 people got the EISP, they want 380 some to take if they don't get that then layoff will happen. Out of like 1500 ppl. They only offered to them now they know they won't get 380 if they aren't offering years added on no one will go.

Yep all full 30 plus in Wisconsin Sr Constitution Techs got the ax Thursday at 3:30 pm not sure how contractors will work BAUs like air pressure r air dryers lead cable or manhole work, sure glade higher ups have good Christmas with their big bonuses, I know I n R techs will not keep up on cut cables or cut fiber or ped taken out by car or setting poles hit by car or weather ripping them down. We reach are goal with caf in Wisconsin in house techs no subs and get let go Merry Christmas.

I am in Indiana. When we got the news it was 5 min before our union knew. No paperwork to go by, we have the Dec 28 cutoff. The kicker is they will give us our "bump sheet" at least by the 28th. HERE'S YOUR SIGN
