I would say over 100 people or more got let go in Michigan yesterday. We got an Invite to eather a conference call or they had a meeting in Plymouth, Mi. We're Jason Gumm., told EVERYONE in this meeting and on the phone you last day is Friday December 15th 2017. We are all in shock. No one new anything about what was going on. People that were exciting goals and 1 manager had 20 years in. Another is on long term disability with brain cancer. Everypne is in shock. Most offices only had 10 sales people stay and all managers were let go. I wpuld thonk this is going to happen all ober tje county.

I was one of those who got layoff. I was working in Boca Raton FL, they said that we had a last minute meeting in West Palm and the same thing. Over 100 people got layoff. Thi is crazy. I hate comcast for doing that.
Direct sales team on knoxville tn , 24 out of 27 without a job as of this past weds, same thing, teleconference call thinking it was about strategy for 2018, teal classic move before holidays. We were told that anyone in this room will not kove forward with company. Supervisors and trainer too. Only 3 reps remain in whole dept.
So I had a last-minute meeting scheduled for today, (12/14/17) thinking it was about a new corporate sales strategy. A conference call in the office. A couple people I've never met, and a manager from a different sales channel. Strange. In the short five minute call I heard "after careful consideration", "unfortunately" and "effective today", and myself along with many others (including my supervisor) are suddenly out of a job. Then we turned in our devices, and were escorted out the door. Very little explanation. The whole thing was 18 minutes at most. To top it all off, the person giving the conference call, finished with his last words: "Merry Christmas.". I'm so glad he wasn't standing in front of me.
Any severance packages?
Same in Indiana. This is massive and no one had any idea. It's been business as usual for a long time but not anymore. So much for tax reform saving the middle class. There won't be a middle class after the corporations are through.
This is only a shock to you because you haven't been paying attention to what's going on in the industry and nation. Spend some time reading "Latest Posts" and you'll see this should not have been a shock.
Layoffs everywhere, thousands, tens of thousands. And no, it won't be on your TV news at night.
