Are they in the pocket of the company? Can't they be front and center telling us what is going on before we hear it over the fence? How about getting us some options such as adding a few years of service. After all its not gonna come out of the company's pocket and it would make it possible to get some of the old guys and gals off the payroll and make it possible for a younger employee to stick around and at least have a chance to get in his career. Dazed and confused,as are many due paying brothers and sisters.

Here in California our local always conceded to the company. We were part of another companies local and since we had very few employees and a shrinking force at that. We were powerless. Our reps in our yard did nothing but figure out ways to get out of work.
Ask our reps about rumors we hear and they'd deny them just as the company(supervisors) would. Then a few days later concede the rumors of movement or changes to hours locations or whatever is true.
evidently the company could care less, especially if they want 380 of the 787 ISP recipients off the books! the workers that remain will the ones who really get screwed!
Waiting to see how Frontier WV will operate without a significant number of seasoned techs at their disposal when a large number accept an early termination agreement. Watch out West Virginia, here it comes.
The union in WV finally sent out a very low-informative vague email. States the EISP offer was the companys 90day layoff notice, and they know nothing more beyond that. 90 days does put us over our contract expiration so I imagine negotiations will be exciting this year. Praying for solidarity in our union!
The union was in the dark just as we all were. The union had nothing to do with this crap and this is why they are constantly trying to get people to show solidarity. This will be a test of the “younger” people to see if they are willing to do whatever needs to be done. Would you strike if asked? I bet those “older” people would.
Amen!
