Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Out with the old, in with the new

Cablevision used to be a good company to work for - until it sold to Altice. Since then some benefits and holiday bonuses have been stripped to ‘trim the fat’ as they say. Yet our benefit contributions are increasing - how is that even possible?

Quite a few upper management have left shortly after the takeover sensing major ‘unpleasant’ changes in the future if they chose to remain.

Many of our tenured employees have been ‘persuaded’ to take a voluntary separation package with a hint that if it is not accepted, the possibility of employment in the upcoming years are nil.

Moral at this company is at its lowest peak and with cutbacks evident only the top 1% of the company will be raking in the benefits, bonuses and stock options.

I got a 2 or 3 year head start on a new career. Could sense even in 2012, '13 that bad things seemed to be on the horizon...

You talk as if you're informing the masses of a some brand new fascinating revelation..... WTF ??

I can remember back to the morning of Sept. 17, 2015 when I first saw Dolan's email announcing that he had sold our a$$ to these French mobsters.

Immediately after reading that email, I googled Altice out of curiosity and this was the very first article I read..... http://nyp.st/1iTvCVM

From that moment, I knew that we were all in a world of trouble.
