Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

No use in worrying

Speaking as someone who has been laid off, there is no use worrying about it. If it's going to happen, it will regardless. I know it is somewhat stressful, but focus on the things you can control at work. And if the worst happens, there is life after Enbridge. I love my new job and moved on without regrets. It is just a job after all.

Wanted to reiterate what @QFhCXmz-1wzm said in another thread. Chances are no matter what happens, you'll be okay in the end. It might be tough for a while (my husband was laid off from his job few years ago and it took us about a year to bounce back,) but you'll recover usually sooner rather than later.

Protect your health, folks. Nothing is worth you ending up on medication or worse. Not even Enbridge.

I wrote that post. Just wanted to say that getting laid off as a long time employee was very hard at first and an awful experience I don't wish on anyone. After the initial blow, I took stock of my situation and that of my family and started applying for jobs right away. Fortunately I kept my resume and training up to date and found another job. I was fortunate but I also refused to let my situation get me down. Good luck to all current Enb employees out there.
